The Value of SO Ed Therapy

We are dedicated to reaching students of all ages with learning differences. We believe that learning differently is a sign of a unique and wonderful mind. We also believe in developing a growth mind set in our students and families. The true meaning of a Growth Mindset is the belief that a person's most basic abilities can be developed through dedication, hard work and practice. We are also dedicated to Psychoeducation and the treatment of the client as a whole person, not just a student. Our dearest desire is for our clients to thrive in whatever pursuit they choose.

At SO Ed Therapy we build self-esteem, motivation, persistence, and self-advocacy. This is accomplished through learning about self-monitoring, self-regulation, self-awareness, organization, and automaticity as well as by demystifying learning differences. We also work on communication, social awareness, social skills and adapting to the demands of a school or work environment.

In addition to the above Psychoeducational goals, we work on improvement in specific academic skills and problem solving.
